1999

Following a restructure, Afon Dee RFC is founded through the amalgamtion of two local clubs Deeside RFC and BSC Shotton.

2004

Afon Dee RFC are renamed Shotton Steel RFC with a view to restructuring the club within the North East Wales Ditrict League and increasing ties within the local community.

The Future

Shotton Steel RFC are committed to developing a sound base for players of all ages to learn and develop their rugby skills in a sporting and safe enviroment. The 05-06 season has had a mixed set of results on and off the field for SSRFC but continued development of youth players has seen the highest increase of players under the age of 20 moving into the Senior Squad in the past 3 years.
